This is our take on a Caprese Salad, a delicious combination of tomato, basil and mozzarella that was “discovered” in Italy in the 1950s (the history of Caprese salad). Combining all of these fresh ingredients with a little oil and Pete's Spice makes for an amazing side dish to serve at your next gathering.
Serves 4-5
Here is what you'll need:
- Tomatoes (5-6)
- 1 Container Fresh Mozzarella Pearls
- Sourdough Bread (1/2 loaf)
- Basil (4-5 leaves)
- Prosciutto (1 container)
- 1-2 TB Olive Oil
- Pete's Spice
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- Cut or tear up your sourdough into small pieces. Drizzle with olive oil and place on a baking sheet and throw in the oven for 7-8 minutes to make fresh croutons
- Cut up tomatoes and basil
- Add tomatoes, basil, mozzarella pearls and prosciutto to a large bowl
- Add Pete's Spice and Olive oil

Enjoy!!!
